There are many pictures of Belize, however, the one that we are concerned about the most is the ever growing poverty rate.

Over the past 15 years, the alternative parties, who are committed to the good governance of Belize's government, have made several attempts to amalgamate. Unfortunately, there were several factors that inhibited this process.

Eradicating Belize government corruption will address the source of our social and economic issues.

Is Belize Safe? Most of Belize is safe, unfortunately, over the years, criminal elements have been seeping into rural Belize. We want to address the source, which are:

  • porous borders

  • the lack of economic liberation

In 2014 there was an alternative party summit in Dangriga where the People's National Party (PNP) and Vision Inspired by the People (VIP) decided to formally join the Belize Unity Alliance (BUA).

The BUA's main objective was to assist the PNP and VIP to join forces, shed their names, and form a national political party, and shed the stigma of the third party, once and for all, for they understood the importance of the good governance of Belize.

We are now well on our way to becoming one of only 3 national political parties in Belize.

Members of the VIP who knew that this process needed to be expedited, stepped down as members of the VIP and we reached out to the PNP and We The People (WTP).

Your Belize Prime Minister under the BPP will answer to the people, not the party.

In September 2015, and based on our commitment to good governance in Belize, we held another summit in Orange Walk Town, with members of the WTP, PNP and former members of the VIP. We agreed to amalgamate.

To commit to our promise of participatory democracy, we had a name competition via our Facebook page, inviting and allowing Belizeans from home and abroad to  participate, first by submitting names, and then by voting on the short-list  of the 10 names we chose.

On September 30th, 2015 at midday, the  name submitted by Mr. Albert Moore, "Belize Progressive Party", won with a  total of 89 votes via Facebook “likes.”

The branches of Government in Belize are all intentionally dysfunctional, and we will fix them to serve all Belizeans.

On October 1 st, 2015, at 10 a.m. the BPP held a Press Conference at the Belize Institute of Management (BIM) where the BPP officially launched its new political party with a total of 10 candidates.

On October 8th, 2015 the BPP launched 9 more candidates and ran in the Belize General Elections, held on November 4th, 2015, with a total of 25 brave Belizean candidates who stepped up to the plate.

Belize's Government main function is to grow the economy so as to grow employment.

The BPP is still very active and growing its core body, membership, and support of the party at home and abroad.

It is important that our fellow Belizeans know: we are not here to replace the PUP and UDP, we are here to give power back to you, the people. We are here to Change The System.
