A Successful Sarstoon Island Kayak EcoChallenge
Another SUCCESSFUL Expedition! CONGRATULATIONS to Brother Wil Maheia and the Belize Territorial Volunteers (BTV) with special mention to the people of Barranco who welcomed us to their village and endorsed the Sarstoon Island Kayak EcoChallenge to be held annually in Barranco. Next Year's 2nd Annual Sarstoon Islamd EcoChallenge in Barranco will be BIGGER!!!
Maximum Respect to all the participants whom made the event possible by being FEARLESS BELIZEANS to paddle a canoe or a kayak from Barranco to Sarstoon Island - circling from the South channel and returning through the northern side of the Sarstoon.
The Canoes Finished at the Forward Operating Base (FOB), while the Kayaks finish was at Barranco (15-16 miles round trip).
Maximum Respect and special thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Mario Lara and Mr. Reginald Jex for all the efforts put in to ensure the 1st Annual Sarstoon Island Kayak EcoChallenge was successful.
