Re: GOB Moving Straight to Accession of UNCAC

Barrow to sign and ratify UNCAC

To all the nay-sayers out there who tried to malign the BNTU for standing up for Belize, I say that the attached GOB press release is demonstrative of the effect that "PEOPLE POWER/LABOUR" possesses.

Let us not exercise a selective memory regarding the occasion when the PM said that signing onto the UNCAC and bringing it into force would take a considerable amount of time.

Don't forget that your Belize Progressive Party were the ones to inform, that Kenya signed and ratified the UNCAC on the very same day!

Therefore "Big Up" to the Teachers for staying the course and effectively forcing the PM's hand to move expeditiously toward effecting good governance practises and principles, by moving forward with the process toward accession to the UNCAC in a more expeditious manner.

The writing is on the wall, because the UDP's dolly house of cards, under this intentionally dysfunctional PUDP system, is steadily moving toward implosion.

All other unions are encouraged to follow the BNTU's lead and demonstrate their wherewithal by standing up for Belize!

Rest assured the BPP, Belize's LABOUR PARTY, remains fully on board with all efforts to effect good governance in Belize.
