PATRICK ROGERS: HOW BELIZE SHOULD BE ADDRESSING CRIME

News 5 Live

As many a weary Belize City resident can tell you, we have learned to appreciate the silences between the outbursts of gun and other violence we report nightly on the daily news. The trick has become managing those periods of calm through mediation efforts like those led by Dianne Finnegan, Nuri Muhammad and ACP Chester Williams. But the Belize Progressive Party believes it does not have to be this way. During this morning’s municipal campaign launch, political leader Patrick Rogers fulminated at length on addressing what he calls the number one issue for the Old Capital, calling for a decentralized police system and seriously addressing the root causes of this continuing disaster.

PACO SMITH RESPONDS RE:

BPP GOES HUMBLE BUT HEARTFELT FOR MUNICIPALS

PACO SMITH

The nation of Belize is in a state of distress, due fundamentally to the intentional dysfunction that is part and parcel of this corrupt PUDP system, that finds our nation being governed within a state of TYRANNY!

On 7th March 2018, the "POWER" shifts back to the people of this nation, in that you shall elect those who will represent you at the municipal level.

Belizeans and true friends of Belize, I implore you to not take lightly, the significance of your vote. If you are fed-up with the inefficiency, ineffectiveness and overall corruption which is now par for the course, please recognise that you have an alternative.

Your Belize Progressive Party - BPP, "Belize's New Political Consciousness" is contesting the elections in: Belize City, Belmopan, Punta Gorda, San Ignacio/Santa Elena and Benque Viejo del Carmen. If you live in those municipalities, you do not have to settle for the presumed "lesser of two evils". Evil is evil, no matter the quantity and simply put, you owe it to yourselves to move forward in a new, progressive direction.

With that, I ask your assistance in voting "Green, Down the Line" and not give the PUDPs yet another chance to deceive, plunder and rape our nation.

On 7th March 2018, support the only political entity that means business when we say,

"WE ARE NOT HERE TO REPLACE THE PUDP...WE ARE HERE TO CHANGE THE SYSTEM".

Support your local BPP candidates and slates, in order to put Belize on a new path...one that will benefit all Belizeans, not a select few.

MEET ROODY WADE. BPP MAYORAL CANDIDATE FOR THE BEAUTIFUL TWIN TOWNS OF SAN IGNACIO AND

SANTA ELENA

My fellow Belizeans and residents of the Twin Towns. I am Roody Wade and I am asking you for your vote for your next Mayor.

I am a very independent Belizean. I was a member of the Police Special Force and among the first to form the BDF. I have served my country; stood up with the British at the border (yes, we have a border) in 1980 when our country was threatened by Guatemala. I was not afraid. As your Mayor I will defend and serve you, I will fight for your rights and equal justice, especially for the poor. I call a "spade", a spade! I stand firm on principles and accountability. I am against any form of abuse; I believe in equal rights. I was a candidate for Cayo South Convention (1996-2001). An independent candidate in Belmopan 2011. I am very knowledgeable about the issues affecting you.

Traveled to the US for 25 years. Was refused a PUP convention with Julius Espat for Cayo South in 2009 by the Executive of that party. I decided to go independent. PUP and UDP want mindless yes-men. If you are tired of the results then I am yours. You want change, I am your man. I will be your servant. I will serve ALL, not some. I love my country. I love my people. I am a resident of the Bradley's Bank Area. I will not have any Minister or Representative of any party telling me what to do or not to do in our Twin Towns, as your Mayor. I am not a puppet for anyone. I am not afraid to stand for justice. I call it as I see it. I speak truth to power. I will not have you as a fool. I will not do to you what these traditional politicians are doing. I will call them out and hold them accountable, without fear or favor.

I am asking for your support on March 7th. I pray the Good Lord continue to bless you and your family. Thank you.
